Now, I know that I have done shit all on this site for ages, but that's cause I've been doing University stuff. So blah to that >.<.
BUT now I have something to write about, which is GOOD. I've been listening to a band I've never got around to listening to before:
Brief rundown: I knew that they were kinda folk-metal, and that was it. As far as what I feel they are, they're a slower, more mellow folk-metal than Eluveitie or Ensiferum, and at times they tend towards the more heavy and solid riffs of Amon Amarth. The emotions they bring out are quite Amorphis-like, though progressive timings and more positive rhythms lend a more up-beat and folky feel. At times the vocals remind me of early Jethro Tull, and at other times early Metallica.
The technicality of the guitar work is great, especially as you get to their more recent work, where they're not afraid to speed up a lot, and then slow down immediately to a mellow rhythm, in an Opeth-esque way. The drumming is amazing, at times being some of the heaviest drumming I've heard since Lamb Of God, so full marks there!
Over all I'd say 8/10 for their current discography, but I'm realy looking forward to the new album, due for release mid-May!
