Alrighty!

Crater One!
I’m now in the middle of my exams, and I find that one great way to stop my hands from wrapping themselves around my throat while listening to lecture recordings is to be painting!
I’ve been working on things that don’t require much concentration, like my first pieces of terrain.
I’ve also completed an Ork objective marker, worked on my Weirdboy, finished a Nob and made progress on a couple of Boyz.

This grot has delusions of grandeur!
But wait, there’s more! I’ve even done some work on my Dark Angels, so my Interrogator-Chaplain is finally assembled, my Assault Sergeant has more details painted on him and my Chapter Master has had his cloak repainted and his back-banner detailed.
My Skaven have been put back into a box; they can wait. And I’ve just not been bothered to do anything with my Necrons, although I do have a fancy new box of Lychguard wanting to be assembled and painted.

Alright!
So I’ve added a new gallery page of one of my new Necron Tomb Spyders. I did all the painting yesterday afternoon, and didn’t do any progress shots, so enjoy a gallery of the mostly completed model, which shall be expanded once it is finished.

Alrighty, so recently I’ve been slowly working through several models, such as magnetising and painting my killa kans and deff dread, gluing multitudes of shoota boyz and ignoring my skaven.
However, given the title of the post, I’ve done some work on Necrons! Not much, mind you, but some.
Given the fact that new models and new rules and new everything, really, are going to be released early November, I though I’d work on the models I already have! I’m also going to buy some old Necron models from a guy at my wargaming club, so I’ll have even more of an army to start with.

One wash later...

Now that ANUCON is over, I’m casually working through a number of projects.
For my Orks, I’m assembling and painting my Killa Kans and my new Deff Dread. All I need for them now is some green stuff, as I want to flesh outt he sockets a bit more before I put in the magnets for detachable limbs. This will be the first time I’ll have used green stuff or magnets for hobbying, so I’m looking forward to it!
For my Skaven, I’ve undercoated another sixty-five clanrats, and I’ve made a good start on my Warlord and my Warlock Engineer. My Hell Pit Abomination also arrived today, but I need more undercoat spray before I can start working on that one.
Necrons are slowly being assembled (their arms are irritating to glue), but I think I’ll start one of the Destroyers soon, just to be working on a larger model for a while.
Dark Angels are on indefinite hold
In other gaming news, I’ll be starting a Dystopian Wars army, The Covenant of Antarctica. Going to be a lot of fun to learn to play that game, as I’ve watched a couple of games and it looks amazing fun!

This weekend just gone was ANUCON, a 1500pt friendly 40k tournament.
There were six games (five normal and one team game) over two days, all a lot of fun.The team game partner was our opposition from the second game.
Game Results
- I managed to win against Demons of Nurgle
- I lost against Eldar
- We drew the main objective, I won the secondary objective
- Drew against Dark Eldar
- Drew against Imperial Guard
- Drew against Space Marines (Crimson Fists)
At the end of the tournament, I placed 16th out of 26 overall, and took home the Best Sports award, complete with amazing trophy!
All in all, a great day filled with new experiences, close matches and some hilarious situations! (My gretchin should NOT have killed three space marines in an assault, BUT IT HAPPENED)
Pictures to be up in a few days, once I’ve sorted them all out and chosen a nice gallery.

Just a quick post!
Finished my first Skaven clanrat, so here’s a picture!
I’ll wait until I have more painted before I make a gallery page, but be sure to read the description for an account of how I painted the model

Kommandoz are the sneakiest and most cunning of all orks. They prefer subtle guerilla tactics to the screaming hoard method of the other orks.
Led by Snikrot, they become an indispensable unit.
The Games Workshop Kommandoz box comes with 5 metal models, and seeing as I didn’t want to have two exact copies of each model, I opted to get a conversion kit from ForgeWorld and do a little swapping around of my own.
Today’s gallery shows the converted models in all their un-painted glory, and will be later expanded (once I’ve actually painted them).
Enjoy!

As they would likely be in the field

I’ve added a new gallery today, for my lobbas. I have two sets of the models, each one including one ‘big gun’, as they’re known, and two gretchin crew.
So far, I’ve got one gun model painted and the other started, and I’ll soon start on the grotz.

So, I’ve fine-tuned the menu system on the right and added some new gallery pages.
I apologise for the fact that some pictures uploaded are RIDICULOUSLY large, I’ll fix that up tomorrow, and make sure it doesn’t happen again.
So here’s a little snippet from a newly uploaded gallery:
